There is a young and budding photographer I know just a bit and mostly through her photography, whom I have come to hold in great esteem. A little over a year ago she undertook an interesting project that I watched and followed closely, one that saw her work develop, mature and become something daring a wonderful. I have decided to use her example and launch this, my 365 Project. One photo for every day of the next year. I hope to work to further develop and grow my own style, my own artistic sense and to shoot outside of my comfort box, which I have a habit of doing. And so I begin with my most -out-of-the-box: self portrait.
I hope you will find my work compelling over the next year, I hope you will follow along and I hope that this project will be the impetus you need to do something to grow as well. Good luck to you!!

And so here it is, my first photo(s).
(I actually found a hole to get out of!)
During my trip home this past Thanksgiving I spent just a few hours with Kristin’s sister Melissa and her fiancee Mike for a quick e-shoot while we were all in Columbus. This is the (hopefully) first of two shoots as they live in Charlotte, NC and there could be a fantastic springtime shoot in the South coming!
These are just a few taken while we walked around Goodale Park and the Short North on a crisp morning.
Congrats you two!!

Going back a couple of months now I had the pleasure of photographing a growing family. I worked with Ian and Janessa a year ago when their little Stella was just a tiny thing and here I was again to work with them again. Stella had grown and become even cuter if that is possible. This shoot also included Ian’s family though so I met his sister’s growing family as well! The day was one of children and parents and parents of parents! I’m looking forward to seeing this beautiful family continue to grow though the years.
